Manna Dabholkar – Founder Bio
Manna grew up in an entrepreneurial and dynamic household. Her family has been involved in a number of successful businesses, ranging from real estate development to restaurants and resorts. Her father has led a “rags to riches” life story and is her biggest inspiration.
Becoming a fashion entrepreneur was Manna’s childhood dream. At an early age of 13 she started assisting her father with his successful restaurant business. Later, the zest for exploring what’s new and living amidst the fashion capitals of the world took her from Mumbai to Dubai, London, Milan, Paris, Cape Town, New York, Vancouver and Toronto, before finally settling down in Los Angeles.
Manna started traveling the world at a very young age and moved to Europe to study cultural influence on fashion. Later on, she graduated with an MBA from a top US University. Manna joined the American Red Cross in 2010 and spearheaded Operations for 15 Red Cross locations in Southern California. After 4 years at the Red Cross, she realized that it was time to follow her heart and give shape to the vision that she had held close to her heart for all these years. The entrepreneur in her wouldn’t want it any other way.
In Manna’s own words, “My vision is very clear. I love the human body. When God created our bodies he did his absolute finest work. Clothing should complement this fine piece of work. Clothing is not intended to cover and distort the beauty of the human body, but to enhance its soft curves, lines and flows. Each design, in every line of my collection, will endorse this vision.”
